Applications Now Open for the
Sutton Trust US Programme 2016!

Dear colleague,

Do you advise bright students from low to middle income backgrounds on their university options? You may want to pass on the following information to students in Year 12 or equivalent (S5 in Scotland, Year 13 in Northern Ireland).

Applications are now open for the Sutton Trust US Programme, giving UK students the experience of a lifetime and all the support they need in applying to American universities.

Read on for more information about the programme, and for content we've created to help you spread the word about this amazing opportunity.

The student application deadline is 12 pm, 20 January 2016.

About the programme

This programme provides bright, state school students with a taste of life at an American university.

The initiative is centred on a one-week summer school at a leading US university with introductory events and application support in the UK before and after.

Host campuses last year were the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Yale University.

The Sutton Trust covers all accommodation and transport costs.

58 students from the 2014 programme have recently started at 39 prestigious US universities, and will receive over $14 million of financial support throughout their degrees.
